👉 See photo for the tuning of each chime, the notes are written on the box, so you always have them with you if you want to be accompanied by another instrument.

Each Koshi chime is handmade in a small workshop in France, at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains, using a refined and unique artisanal technique.

The body of the instrument is a bamboo resonance tube, a material known since prehistoric times for its acoustic quality, and still widely used today in the making of many musical instruments: didgeridoos, flutes, jaw harps, valihas, xylophones, etc.

This cylinder is handcrafted using thin layers of bamboo joined together to create a bamboo veneer, which is stronger than solid raw bamboo.
Treated with a natural finishing oil, this high-quality acoustic tube retains a beautiful, simple, natural appearance.

Eight metal sound rods are silver-soldered onto a metal ring attached to the base of the cylindrical sound box. Using a new tuning technique, the highly precise tuning of these musical rods creates a deep, harmonic-rich, crystal-clear sound.

The harmonics of the shorter stems constitute the fundamental notes, and the whole forms a very harmonious circular sound scale.

Slowly swing the chime in a circular motion, holding it by its cord, and let yourself be enchanted by its soft, crystalline and relaxing melody.

Suspended from a tree branch, the chime will play in harmony with the wind to carry you away to an unexpected melody.
