👉 The body of this djembe is hand-turned from mahogany wood and covered with goatskin using a multi-layered alpine nylon-polyester cord.
On the belly of the drum there is a braided carrying handle and a reserve of tension cord.
The wood is varnished to improve its appearance and prevent moisture, tension and dirt.
The entire body of the djembe is decorated with elaborate carvings and dark paintings.
This makes each djembe unique. For the upper binding, the goatskin was placed over the tension rings and not shaved – the result is a decorative skin edge.
There is also a rubber tire on the base - this strengthens the sole and protects against moisture and wear.
The wood is varnished to enhance its appearance and prevent moisture, stress, and dirt. Artistic and sculptural African-style carvings are hand-embedded into the base for decoration. This makes each djembe unique.
