Lebanon, Memory of Time is the result of a meeting between a Lebanese man, Pierre Abi Saad, an archaeologist, passionate collector and lover of the fossil fish of his country, of which he owns an extraordinary collection, and two French paleontologist researchers.

Mireille Gayet, a paleoichthyologist and research director at the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), has studied numerous groups of fossil fish, seeking to analyze and reconstruct their history. Anne Belouze, a professor of natural sciences, has sought to understand the past lives of eels, of which Lebanon possesses the oldest known representatives in the world.

Finally, Olivier Gaudant, photographer and graphic designer, has brought these magnificent fossils to life through images.
