🔍 What is the Eye of Saint Lucia?
It is actually the operculum of a shell called Turbo Rugosa ( Bolma rugosa ), a small marine mollusk. The operculum is a sort of small calcareous "lid" that the animal uses to close its shell.
Flat face : white with an orange spiral — this is the face we call the “eye.”
Domed face : often rough, with natural colors (brown, green, beige).
