📎 About the brand: Wanchako

Wanchako products come from a managed forest, authorized and certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (SERFOR) of Peru. Only trees and branches of Palo Santo that have fallen naturally and remained in the ground for at least 3 to 4 years are used. In this harvesting method, no harm is done to nature.

In October 2018, becoming aware of its responsibility in the use of Palo Santo wood, Wanchako opened its first Palo Santo nursery. They planted 1000 Palo Santo seedlings, to give back to nature what is used. 

📖 Traditional use

In a burning pile

• Light the end of the stick and let the flame burn for a few seconds.
• Gently blow to extinguish the flame and let the smoke diffuse.
• Walk slowly around the room, around objects or yourself, to purify the space and aura.

On hot charcoal (powder or chips)

• Light an incense charcoal in a heat-resistant incense burner.
• Place a pinch of powder or small pieces of Palo Santo on the charcoal.
• Let the smoke spread to create a spiritual and protective atmosphere.
